Is There Really A Holy Grail In Trading?

For years people have been trying to find what so called the "Holy Grail System" in trading. Some of those what so-called "Holly Grail Systems" have been common to us. Thanks for financial network such as CNBC that reciting over and over again phrase such Elliot Wave Cycle, or Double Top.

Back in my 19 when I learned about trading. I started to gobble every of those stuffs from fibonacci to Elliot Wave Cycle. On a few occasion, I made a hit, and I started to believe I've found the "Holy Grail". But soon enough, the reality forced me to realize that my hit was no more than luck.

Is there a "Holy Grail"? I would say, yes. But that's something you have to find yourself.

You need to do your own continuous research. And when you make a big money consistently from your own trading system, that's what defined as "Holy Grail".

Not some technical hocus pocus that claimed can predict market top or bottom, or some mathematical formula that claimed can predict market movement.

I've never heard there is any people make millions of dollars or even billions of dollars from what so called double top or triple top.

In my humble opinion I think the holy grail really exists. It just exists for a closed and small group of traders willing to help themselves.
This is the main reason why our forum www.youseewealth.com exists.

Our forum's goal is to offer a gateway to interconnect traders so they can search and find their trading holy grail.
We are not here like other forums that try just to make money selling their stuff.

Our intention is to become a vehicle to help traders help themselves with software, ammunition, food, shelter and a nice warm fire where we can gather around at night and share each other's experiences/tips.

Solely through trading and account management, I've supported myself and family for the last 10 years. Although I agree with your premise that each of us must find our own "grail" rather than hope to rely on someone else's methods, forums such as this provide a great opportunity to experiment with a variety of approaches and to build experience which, in turn, can serve as invaluable input for developing one's own system.

Yes there is "Holy Grail" but it's not the usual "Holy Grail" that most newbies are after.

"Holy Grail" is not:

• a get-rich-quick secret scheme
• some ultimate systems being sold on the planet
• magical formulas or system which never fails. What you need is to spend some money to buy them
• top trading secrets which can teach you how to beat the market in minutes and reap huge profits effortlessly
• a "holy grail" for the god

Everyone need find their own "holy grail". Where can I find "holy grail"? Only you know the answer.

It's like with the Holy Grail in Dan Brown's novel "Da Vinci Code" - if you believe there is one, then there is. If you don't believe then you will never find it because in your eyes it's not even existing.
But even if you believe in it you don't have a guarantee to find it. Most people are chasing after it for their lifetime. And fail.
Is there a Holy Grail in stock trading? The magic formula which never fails is a dream.
I agree with dipstick40 that there is a certain chance to make money by trading stocks
or futures or whatever. But there are a lot of ways leading to Rome. If you find at least one
you are a lucky man.
To make a long story short: If you have found a system you trust in then you have found your personal Holy Grail.

I believe the holy grail exists in all of us. It is controlled by our fear, and our greed. If we only trade the chart with the knowledge we aquire, we are indeed Holy Grailers....

I believe there are only a few things knowable about the markets.

Let me know if you agree with this or not. I could help to find solid trading systems and stop wasting time looking for the Holy Grail and unworkable trading systems:

KNOWABLE:

1. Only past and current prices/volume/OI are known about the markets.
2. Prices move because of people emotions.
3. Future prices tend towards an average of the past.
4. Large price moves happen more frequent than expected.
5. Overbought and oversold conditions can be measured.
6. A very small amount of bias can exist in financial markets i.e. momentum.
7. A few price patterns can be detected; this can increase the odds of predicting
   price.
8. Human emotions tend to overreact, but revert to the mean - as do prices.
