Whether a beginner or experienced trader you already know that one must trade differently if in a sideways/choppy market or a strong trending market. Oscillators don`t oscillate in a strong trend and trend indicators show entries that only lead to whipsaw in a sideways market. The charts all look different afterwards.

When the histogram and the line are below the blue threshold line they becomes gray indicating a sideways/choppy conditions. When above the blue threshold line they become either green or red – deepening on the direction of the trend – indicating trending conditions. The higher they are the stronger the current trend.
