MultiCharts is a professional charting and automated trading platform, designed for futures, stock, and forex traders. A key feature of MultiCharts is the compatibility with industry-standard TradeStation® EasyLanguage®. EasyLanguage® studies can be customized, optimized, and back-tested prior to implementing them on the real market.
MultiCharts includes very powerful and flexible charting that handles multi-symbol and multi-timeframe charts, and works with most leading streaming data vendors. Time-based and Count-based, as well as Bid, Ask, or Trade-based data series can be mixed within the same chart.
Multiple Symbols & Timeframes , from Different Data Sources, in the Same Chart
MultiCharts features the ability to plot, in the same chart window, several dissimilar data series. The data series can be of different symbols, with different timeframes, and from different data feeds, all at once. Time-based and Count-based, as well as Bid, Ask, or Trade - based data series can be mixed within the same chart. For example, you can mix a 1-minute and a 5-minute chart, or plot a 5000-tick, a 5-point, and a 1-second chart with precise synchronization. This feature is essential for multiple timeframe, correlation, or inter-market analysis, allowing custom studies to be based on several different data series at once.

Customization & Flexibility
Nearly every visual aspect of the chart`s appearance can be customized: axes, background, grid, status line, and more. This provides for unmatched flexibility in presenting the data. Here is a partial list of the customization options:
• The overall appearance of the chart, the color and width of every chart component
• Bar spacing, zoom, top and bottom margins, as well as the margin on the right edge of the chart
• Chart compression, locating all of the data, even a million bars, within one screen
• Background and grid line color
• Various dynamic grid styles: point, solid, horizontal, dotted, or detailed dotted grids
• Vertical axes on both sides, i.e. an indicator scale on the left and a price scale on the right, or no vertical axes at all
• Linear or semi-log, for drastic price movements, axes
• Visual order of indicators and price series
• Font and style of axes labels
• Last price marker on or off
• Display or hide session breaks
• Display or hide empty periods
• Various cursor styles, including global cursor, and a floating hint window to help pinpoint the exact price and time values
• Custom status line, selecting chart settings and values to be displayed
• Enable, disable, or auto-hide the title and scroll bars
• Maximize SubCharts with a single click
• SubChart divider lines on or off, divider line style

Interactivity
An innovative feature of MultiCharts, setting it apart from conventional charting software, is the object-oriented user interface. This translates into intuitive, easy-to-use application, and dramatically reduces the learning curve. To interact with any object, such as a data series, a price scale, or a chart background, simply click on it. The appropriate menu will appear, giving you the choice of only the relevant options. There is no need to spend time going through a complex menu structure - you are only one click away from anything you want to do. To move an object, such as a toolbar or a data series, simply "grab" it with the mouse and drag it to a new position. A scale can be stretched or compressed with just a "click and drag" of the mouse. Setting parameters and maneuvering objects has never been easier or more efficient.
Extensive Selection of Chart Types & Intervals
An extensive selection of conventional chart types is offered: candlestick, bar, line, dot, histograms, invisible bars, and so on. A Volume Profile chart can reveal information not obvious from standard volume data charts.
Supported chart resolutions include time-based (second, minute, hour, day, week, etc.) and count-based (tick, number of trades, number of contracts, or price range). Custom resolutions, such as 64 ticks, can easily be set within each category.

Innovative Features
A number of innovative features form a unique combination of possibilities not found in any other product on the market.
Symbol & Interval Linking
Symbol and Interval Linking saves time and makes work more convenient. This featuremakes it possible to link charts in groups according to symbol name or interval (resolution). Each group is identified by one of the 14 different colors. When a symbol or the resolution is changed for any one chart of the group, the changes will automatically be applied to the rest of the linked charts. Unique to MultiCharts is the ability to link not only different Chart Windows, but SubCharts within the same window as well.

Load State Gauge
Load State Gauge lets you be sure that the data you are looking at is the real-time data. If system resources are insufficient to process all of the streaming data in real time, the Gauge becomes red and display the number of quotes in the queue and the lag in seconds.
Performance & Scalability
MultiCharts software architecture is based on the multithreaded programming model that implies scalability and utilizes hardware resources to the fullest possible extent. By running parallel tasks on each processor, multithreading takes advantage of multi-core CPU technologies and dramatically improves the system performance. The rapid advances in multi-core technologies will boost MultiCharts performance even more in the near future. MultiCharts technology is also multiple-monitor friendly, and allows several instances of the application to be used on the same system simultaneously.

Multicharts has a look and feel of Tradestation - rumor has it that it a created by two ex -tradesation engieers- that left tradestion a couple of year ago.
The ability to put different symbols in the same chart window with different data feeds
and still use easy langage is great. --- this feature in my opinion makes it by far the best charting package on the market.
