: How should we deal with stock newsletters/commentaries, brokerage financial reports/analysis etc.

Recently there are posts to share stock newsletters, stock commentaries, brokerage financial reports/analysis etc. Those materials are timely and have to be read in time or it will lose their value (nearly) completely.

This kinds of materials are more to do with providing opinions and advice (giving tips, telling you what to trade), instead of teaching you how to trade.

1.
How should we treat those materials?
Some possible treatment:
Put them in some existing but more suitable boards. Perhaps Trading Information Center (Latest Trading Stuff and Link Resources) - You See Wealth Trading Community (http://www.friendlytraders.com/forum/71-trading-information-center-latest-trading-stuff-link-resources)
Open a separate board to put those materials.
Ban those threads because this site focuses on learning rather than giving you tips etc.
Other suggestions (please indicate)2.
Since those stuff will be stale and losing interest. Should we periodically remove those threads (eg all threads of this kind will be deleted if they are one month old)? Please give your opinion.

For the poll, please only pick 2 answers.
The "=====" is the separator (to separate both questions).

Thanks.

I am in favor of a seperate board for all the newsletters. I would restrict the posting to "Paid" newsletters only in order to avoid all the "false" newsletters that are mainly sales pitch. I think we should keep them - let say - 18 months and then maybe make a zip of the all year and archive it.

I agree with padawan, but maybe 18 months is too long? I would put them in separate place for 1 year and they archive them and move them somewhere else (where they can still be accessed if someone really needs them - repository).
I don't think we should ban them just because they are giving tips, sometimes it could prove out to be usefull to see (especially if you don't trade based on tips) :)

No need to discuss this, we will not accept these kind of content for the moment.
Admin is dead and now he cannot make any decision. Now I make the decisions and it is a NO for these types of content.
