: Safe To Use Cracked Trading Software To Trade A Live Account?

I think it would be interesting to know how many traders use cracked sofware to trade a live account?

I have heard that the crackers that crack the software could make the program record confidential information including login information to your trading account etc.

So what I am really trying to find out is if there are really any risks to using cracked programs?

I am assuming some people would use the cracked version to test the software out, and if it is good enough purchase a legal version of it.

Your response is appreciated, thanks guys.

Regards

James.

Hi Jamwrigh :)

Of course, it would be impossible to be sure there is NO RISK using cracked software in LIVE trading...

BUT one of the main advantages of the web is quick transmission of infos / comments / reports, etc...., and it is even MORE OBVIOUS in the trading domain, where MONEY ( and lots of it  :) ) is used...

So, if we can ONLY judge by the LARGE number of people involved in swapping Trading software and using it, i guess we can think there are not as many problems as we could suppose.... :o

If there were so many problems, i am sure there would be quick reactions / infos / comments in the Traders Communities....

Just my 0.000000000002 cents, of course...

Anyway, needed to be cautious, sure....

Bye

Thanks Fx_Gold for your reply,

I never thought of it that way before, however it makes sense. I am actually paranoid about security, so I suppose I will continue to use cracked software for testing purposes only, & if It really does work, I will consider purchasing it.

James.

I would agree - trying before you buy is nice. I hate the crippled demos that never let you try out 'all' the features of software for a period of time. While I understand the point of the developers to not want to do this, I have to believe it would ultimately result in more sales for them. For me, if something that prove its worth (or at least live up to the advertising) I will likely purchase. At the end of the day it's all about ROI, if I can give $1 to get $2, I'll do it every time :-)
