Best Indicators and why?

I'd really like to set up a poll of the Indicators we have here and get peoples feedback on them i.e. whats the best and why.

Is this OK with you? If so, how do you setup a poll?

Good idea,but to be sincere...I sincerely do not know how to set up a poll ! !

In the past, only yosewe managed the poll setups.
Your idea is great, I wish I could do it, the problem is that I am so busy approving stuff and testing stuff, that I hardly have time to investigate how the polls work at all ! ! !

Yes, just learning to use the features built into the forum platform.

I personally do not like Indicators/Systems, except for a few that are unique. Most are either oscillators or trend following indicators.
I prefer prototyping softwares that do baktests and let you evaluate trading models.

For me, I like the Trend indicators, I want to be in and out of trades really quickly.

What do you mean by this? backtest like the backtesting Tradestation has?

I mean softwares like SafirXP, Neuroshell, Tradingsolutions, Optilogix, TheGrail WFO, etc, etc.
And yes, the above are the so called "toolboxes" where you still need to invest your time to build trading models.

I am not sure whether to conduct poll or not but personally i am following SAR indicator in combination with 14/44 moving average crossover with daily charts... after a huge permutation and combination this setup gives me a considerable outcome... let me wait for few more months to check it out and give you the real outcome...

If you wish, try this out and let me know your results... but do it paper-trade initially...
