You guys are doing a wonderful job and fulfilling a need by helping us small opp traders who like to experiment with various trading systems. We thank you for that.
It would be nice to see a better categorizing of the related subjects. Such as:
MetraTrader EA’s, indicators, e-books, videos, etc.
Trade Station strategies, indicators, resources, etc.
Financial programs, trading systems, resources, etc.
Female resources, trading ideas, etc. (just kidding)
Instead of a forum that combines all trading systems. This way you can go to that category and see what’s new in your area of interest. If they were sorted by date, then you can see what the latest is.
Right now it’s nice to see what ever the new postings are when you browse to Friendly Traders, but if you’ve missed a day then you might miss a number of postings. And you wouldn’t know what’s new unless you did a search and went through all those postings. If I’m wrong and there’s a better way to do it, please let me know.
I know you can use the search box but it does seem to bring up some un-related items. Plus I believe they are just sorted by latest postings.
A user rating would be nice on everything. That way you can tell if this has been a hit with others in the group or just a dud. It would be easier parting with our hard earned wealth points if we could see what others though who bought it. I don’t know if it’s done or if it’s appropriate to post about an item you bought but I’m not seeing that kind of thing in the postings yet.
I would like to see more advanced MetaTrader 4 EA's. I know you guys don't like them but they are popular for a reason. If there were a way to get the ones the pro's use instead of the ones full of crap, then we can make some money. They are just great for those who have to sleep and/or work during the best trading times.
Just my two cents, thanks for the opportunity to speak up.

Hello Dear Makamilman :D
Lots of thanks for taking the time to answer and express your opinion...
Concerning the MetaTrader 4 eas, i guess "we" ( Joe_Admin & me ) are CAUTIOUS as it is so obvious there are Lots of SCAMS in this domain...
However, at least for me ( i think Joe is probably a lil' bit "hard" in his opinion about eas, but i am not so sure :hammerhead::D ) i am OPEN to the more reliable EAs we could get...
MAny guys simply have not enough time / energy to trade FULL-time in front of a computer...
The Auto-Trading technology is so much amazing that it is really normal to see flows of newbies-traders coming to MetaTrader 4....
I hope and feel we may, some day, find really some astonishing GEM, but it will need patience, POSITIVE THINKING and testing job....
Sorry for my maybe improper english, but you see the general idea of what i mean...:)
Bye

Knowledge is power. Also, the markets are dynamic. One does not study the markets like getting a degree, arrive at some goal and then start trading. Because of the nature of markets, it is essential to constantly be a student of the markets. In light of this, I find seminars, DVDs, and books to be an extremely powerful resource. I'm very skeptical of EAs and automated systems. If it were truly that easy, everyone would be doing it. I see EAs and automated trading as an attempt to take a shortcut. Truly successful traders pay their dues in the form of learning. I don't believe that any trader can ever be successful without doing his/her due diligence. This comes in the form of being an eternal student of the markets.

If one were truly attempting to immerse himself into a trading career than I do agree that you must be at one with the market and the best way to be successful in anything is to know all about it.
However in the currency market, if one had to sleep during the European trading session, work during the American trading session, raise a family full time and tend to other things in life that one must attend to, then this leaves little time for “paying the dues” for that type of trading. Or maybe you just don’t want that lifestyle full-time.
If these same people who have these things to attend to just like to play in the market and have some fun doing so, then automated trading systems are a viable avenue. Some like to play cards, others go bowling, others drink beer and play pool. Each man has his vises, hobbies, etc. Just because you enjoy buying, selling and dabbling in the market does not mean you have to be an expert in it and automated systems helps support that shortcoming.
Granted, the automated trading systems we typically see are not of the quality to keep your account going for long but they do give you a little rush in the ever illusive search to find, tweak or adjust the right automated system so that you might just find a way to add a little extra into your account and keep the fun going. “Everyone’s” not using them because everyone is different with their own goals, timelines, commitment and style of trading.
To each trader their own I say and I hope we all find what we are looking for. Please don’t bash or put down a style of trading a lot of us have found to be an alternative in an attempt to tap into a little piece of this massive market we all enjoy within the time constraints that we have chosen to put into our lives.
