Hi admin,

feel free to discuss or delete it...so here we go:D

1. if a moderator or any other user didn't use the correct (see my captools thread) description or thread title then no one is able to find it with the search function! So I think if that happens - even it goes to the landfill - the poster has made it right and should get his experience points and/or wealth!

2. when an software or other stuff is submitted no normal user can find it with the search function - only the moderators. If that happens (yes again on one of posts ) I think there should be the same like on my first point.
To prevent that in the near future maybe you're able to add that section to the search engine

3. on the different testing results (as on the TradeStation latest build) it would be necessary to talk about before dumping!

that's just my own 2 cents

have a good weekend & a good day

Hi admin,

feel free to discuss or delete it...so here we go:D

1. if a moderator or any other user didn't use the correct (see my captools thread) description or thread title then no one is able to find it with the search function! So I think if that happens - even it goes to the landfill - the poster has made it right and should get his experience points and/or wealth!

Agree. This kinds of issues may occur including misspelt titles, wrong titles etc. We should try to correct those titles as soon as possible. Members should report too if they see it.

Another problem is members search for the wrong name (eg MultiChart VS MultiCharts). The only way to solve this problem is to add all variations (and possible mistakes) into the title, but this may make the title bloated.

Try to search the whole content rather than titles only. You may find what you miss.

On the other hand, we need to beware that doing this may encourage bad members to share duplicates deliberately to get free wealth/experiences.

So my opinion is we shouldn't give it lightly but if a member uses all normal means to search and they still can't find it, they will be awarded parts of the wealth/experiences.

Moderators use the same method to search. They will miss what you miss unless they know it by memory. They should use a test member to do the search so they will see what a normal member sees.

Regarding the Captools, see the following replies:
Searching Captools will return both threads.

I believe you searched for Captool (no -s) so no result is found.
Try to search by unclicking the "Search Titles Only". You will find more results.

The formal name is Captools/net, but sometimes people will refer it to Captools
Quote from website:
Captools/net (also sometimes referred to herein as "Captools")...

2. when an software or other stuff is submitted no normal user can find it with the search function - only the moderators. If that happens (yes again on one of posts ) I think there should be the same like on my first point.
To prevent that in the near future maybe you're able to add that section to the search engine :rolleyes:It is a good idea but there is some technical difficulty to do. Yes I think we should award parts of the wealth/experiences for those who submitted about the same time.

To solve this problem, I think we should proceed the threads as fast as possible, and shouldn't wait until everything is sorted out:
If we think the stuff doesn't work, we can move to the landfill temporarily. We can always move back if it turns out to be mistakes.
If we can't process it within 1 day (or 2 days at maximum), we should move them anyway and keep reviewing while it is on public. What do you think?

3. on the different testing results (as on the TradeStation latest build) it would be necessary to talk about before dumping!Actually a dumped thread can be undumped. It shouldn't be a problem essentially. Perhaps we should specify this clearly so a member doesn't have bad feeling about this.

mmZGood feedback. Have a nice day too.

PS: Moving this suggestion thread out so other members can participate in the discussion, if they have any comment too on this.
